NMMU Clicker

ICT developed a simple student response (clicker) system to better engage with your students in class.

Students can participate from any device that is capable of browsing. Wi-Fi is set up in all lecture venues so connectivity won't be a problem.

As a staff member, browse to the following URL: http://webapps.nmmu.ac.za/clicker/

Select the module you are teaching from the menu:

The lecturer has to open an answer session for the students by selecting "Open". The question can now be asked, shown, written down etc. If there are multiples, you can simply number the questions.

The students can now go the same URL: http://webapps.nmmu.ac.za/clicker/ They must select the relevant module from the menu and will now have the opportunity to enter the question number, select between 4 multiple choice options or enter a text.

Once the lecturer is happy with the time spent on answering, he/she must close the session:

The results will be displayed immediately and no more responses allowed:

For more comprehensive reporting, the lecturer can go to: http://webapps.nmmu.ac.za/clicker/reports.aspx and apply filter before generation the necessary report. There is also a button that will generate a link to the results set, that could be added to learning materials before hand.
