This applies to staff members who want to connect to their Exchange mailbox. Students' mail is stored on Microsoft's Live servers and you can get instructions here.
- Tap on the Settings icon
- Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Tap Add Account…
- Tap Microsoft Exchange
- Enter account details, use the following as a guide.
- Tap Next
- Tap Save
- Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars again
- Tap on Exchange
- Tap on your new account
- Near the bottom make sure Use SSL is on, tap Done.
- Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars again
- Tap on Fetch New data, and make your selections depending on what you want
You do not have to make use of the iPad mail client if you do not want all your email pushed to the iPad. You can look at your mailbox via a web browser instead, by going to http://email.nmmu.ac.za.
